NEET 2018 Cut Off Marks
The examination authority CBSE will fix the category wise NEET cut off every year. The board will announce the NEET 2018 cut off before the exam if conducted in terms of the percentile. 16/15/2018 Update: The update from the Indian Express reads that, when contacted some experts regarding the NEET 2018 cut off, they have suggested the expected NEET cut off for various categories based on their calculations or predictions. We have updated those expected NEET cut off marks of those experts here as given in the Indian express which would be helpful for you if you go through it.
According to the CEO Y K Jayaramappa of the BASE Academy, when compared to last year the Biology paper this year was thought provoking and creative, the physics paper needs long calculations and two questions from the zoology were out of syllabus and as per this, he believes that NEET Cut Off 2018 for general category would be in between 125 to 130 whereas, the cut off for unreserved category would be in between 95 to 100.
Rajshekhar Ratrey from the Toppr.com says that, this year the Physics paper is lengthy when compared to the last year with more applications based up on the calculative questions for which the examines would have spent more time on this section and would have struggled for the time at the end of paper. This would be the reason that there are chances for drop in the NEET 2018 Cut off. According to him, the cut off marks will be 120 to 130 for General category, 97 to 107 for OBC and for SC and ST the cut off would be in between 92 to 102.
The Chief Academic officer of Basic First Uday Nath Mishra says that, there would be decrease in the NEET 2018 cut off as the medical entrance exam was tough compared to the last year. Another factor that contributes to is in increase in the students registered for NEET 2018. And so the cut off will be in between 130 to 140.
